CJ Allen's Olympic Run Ends in Semi-Finals of 400m Hurdles
After a strong first round of competition, former Washington State Cougar CJ Allen will leave Paris without a medal.
Competing in the 400-meter hurdles, Allen first qualified for the semi-finals on Monday with a time of 48.64 seconds in the preliminary rounds. In Wednesday's semi-final, Allen ran the event in 48.44 seconds, finishing fourth in his heat.
Only the top two times in each heat, as well as the next two fastest times across the three heats, qualified for Friday's final. Allen was 0.24 seconds short of reaching the final.
