A native of Sheffield, England, Louie Hinchliffe will represent Great Britain at this summer's 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.

Hinchliffe is a name that some Washington State fans may recognize after he completed his freshman season in Pullman before transferring to the University of Houston. In just one season as a Cougar, Hinchliffe set multiple program records, including a 6.60-second 60m dash (WSU freshman record, #2 in program history) and a 10.22-second 100m dash (WSU program record).

At Houston this past season, Hinchliffe placed first at the 2024 NCAA outdoor championships, running the 100m in 9.95 seconds, becoming the first Brit to do so in NCAA history.

Hinchliffe will run for Team GB in the 100m dash, as well as in the 4x100m relay team.

The track and field events of the 2024 Olympics are scheduled to begin on August 1
