Washington State Volleyball Picked Sixth in Preseason WCC Coaches Poll

The Washington State Cougars' volleyball program begin their 2024 season on August 30 at the Omaha Invite. It will kick off their first year as a member of the West Coast Conference.

Ahead of that campaign, the Cougars were picked to finish sixth in the league by the WCC preseason coaches poll released on Friday. WSU received 53 points in the poll.

The preseason poll was selected solely by a vote of the conference’s 11 head coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own teams.

Defending champions Pepperdine received the most points with 98. The Cougars will play Pepperdine in Pullman on October 6 in a match that will be televised on ESPNU.

The Oregon State Beavers, also playing their first WCC season, were picked to finish fouth.

Washington State finished the 2023 season 26-8 overall and entered the NCAA tournament as the #10 team in the nation.
