Former Cougars defensive end Ron Stone Jr. signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent this spring. Now, the San José native is looking to jumpstart his professional career with the Raiders this preseason by being claiming one of the spots on the 53-man roster.

Per On SI's Hondo Carpenter, Stone has made a significant push in the last couple of weeks, even impressing Raiders star defensive lineman Maxx Crosby.

"I do not think he is a lock, but I think he has a legit shot...Maxx has been building him up."
