Washington State and Oregon State chose visibility when creating their 2024 football broadcasting deals and appear to have secured that as each of their home games will be broadcast by The CW Network, Fox or FS1.

The Pac-12 Network, viewed as a root of the conference’s collapse, was not widely available. Those who wanted to watch the Pac-12 Network needed high-level linear TV plans and there was no streaming option without TV provider credentials.

The CW and Fox, on the other hand, are available in almost every TV household. There is no direct streaming partner, but Youtube TV does carry both Fox and the CW.

Below is a game-by-game breakdown of where to watch each of WSU football’s 2024 games (all times are in Pacific) ((Home games in bold))

With the dissolution of the traditional Pac-12, the two remaining schools have had to get creative. WSU and OSU have entered into a football scheduling agreement with the Mountain West Conference and affiliate status with the MWC and West Coast Conference for their remaining sports with several exceptions, including Oregon State baseball. Beaver Baseball has chosen the independent route for 2025.

The CW will broadcast 11 of WSU and OSU’s combined 13 home games, with Fox broadcasting the remaining two. (Texas Tech @ Washington State, 7 p.m. Pacific, Sept. 7 and  Oregon @ Oregon State, 12:30 p.m. Pacific Sept. 14).

The Apple Cup, a non-conference game for the first time in its history between the Pac-12’s WSU and the Big Ten’s University of Washington, will be streamed by Peacock and played at Lumen Field, home of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks (a 15-minute light rail ride from Husky Stadium).

Road contests versus Mountain West schools fall under the MWC’s media agreements, broadcasted primary by CBS Sports and Fox Sports and their networks.

"We are excited to partner with The CW and FOX to broadcast Cougar Football nationally for the upcoming 2024 season," said WSU Interim Athletic Direcotr Anne McCoy in a statement. "Having WSU in 100 percent of the homes across the country will amplify the exposure of our student-athletes and program and grow the connection with our fans and alumni. Additionally, the partnership provides for nearly all home game times to be set in the spring, allowing our fanbase to plan their fall weekends around Cougar Football."

Pac-12 Enterprises, the new look for the production company previously responsible for Pac-12 Network, will produce each of WSU and OSU’s CW-broadcasted home games.

Pac-12 football joins the CW as the network seeks to expand its live sports offerings. Certain ACC football games will be broadcast by the CW as lead-ins to the mid afternoon west coast Pac-12 games.

WSU’s Friday night game versus San Jose State, Sept. 20 will follow the first day of the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff races on the CW Network, granting WSU extra exposure.

Cougar football fans can see six games on the CW Network (five home games and the Oregon State road game) four games carried by either Fox or FS1 (with Texas Tech guaranteed for Fox), one game on CBS Sports Network (at San Diego State Oct. 26) and one game on Peacock (the Apple Cup Sept. 14).

The Pac-12 and the CW agreed to give the 12:30 p.m. slot during the final two months of the season to the school with the better record or more intriguing storylines. The more Wazzu can win, the more day games they will have later in the season when the harsh Palouse autumn turns Gesa Field into a frozen tundra.

This will be one of the more accessible Cougar football seasons in years and Wazzu hopes their fans and the general public will tune in to watch one of the most unique stories and schedules in college football.
