Theme nights for the 2024 Washington State football schedule were finalized earlier this week with number of fan events planned to entertain the Cougar faithful throughout the season.

One date that some fans will likely already have circled is the weekend of October 19 when WSU will celebrate homecoming. The opponent for that contest will be the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors of the Mountain West Conference.

Hawaii and the Cougars have met just five previous times on the gridiron. The Bows actually lead the series with a record of 3-2. The most recent meeting between the two sides came back in 2009 at the former Qwest Field in Seattle. Greg McMackin's Hawaii team beat WSU 38-20 in a battle that saw then-Bows quarterback Greg Alexander throw for 453 yards and three touchdowns.

WSU's most recent win in the series came in 1999 when Mike Price led the Cougs to a 22-14 win over June Jones' squad in Honolulu. Rian Lindell made all three of his field goal attempts and Adam Hawkins rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns in that classic battle.

WSU's 2024 season officially begins on August 31 when they host Portland State. Single game tickets for Washington State football are now available for purchase.
