Cougar fans won't know for sure who Washington State's 2024 starting quarterback will be until fall camp. However, redshirt sophomore John Mateer is one of the main candidates in that position battle.

Mateer's arm and core strength were on display in a clip posted to social media by @OldSchoolQB, a quarterback trainer in Mateer's native Texas. Rolling out to this right, Mateer hit a target downfield while leaping into the air.
