Notes

-"To finally be here, there's just so much excitement for our team."
-Dickert emphasized the importance of focusing on execution, especially given the youthfulness of his current team. Even some of this year's captains are looking to start their first career game on Saturday. "I'm excited to find out who this team really is."
-Redshirt junior defensive back Jamorri Colson, who appeared in eight games for the Cougars last season, is expected to miss an extended period of time with an injury that has yet to be specified.
-Dickert's message to the fans: "I expect a sellout."
-Fa’alili Fa’amoe's return to game action will most likely be in the Apple Cup game after missing significant practice time in the spring and summer due to a knee injury. Per Dickert, Fa’amoe achieved a significant milestone in his rehab this past week, but Dickert hopes to be cautious getting the team captain back into the lineup.
