Washington State redshirt junior guard Brock Dieu showed his excitement for the upcoming season as the Cougars continue fall camp this week. Dieu even called this camp the best he's been a part of at WSU.

As the end of camp draws near, Dieu and the rest of the offense are closing in on one of their first goals of the year: find a starting quarterback. Head coach Jake Dickert indicated that the winner of that position battle between John Mateer and Zevi Eckhaus will be announced to the public on Monday, August 19.

"We got a great quarterback battle going on," Dieu told reporters this week. "They're both working their tail off and doing everything they can to push each other to be better."

To Dieu, the decision won't affect the offensive line much either way. The two QBs may be different, but both seem to present the ability to lead WSU to victory.

"Zevi's a little more 'rah-rah' guy. John's pretty cool, calm, and collected and 'hey, let's get this done.' But, you know both have a great way of playing, both have a different style and we're able to, as a group of five guys, we just mesh well with both of them."
