One amongst a flurry of transfers from Eastern Washington to Washington State, Ethan Price stands out due to his versatile offensive game that goes beyond back-to-the-basket scoring on top of other skills.

A member of the 2023-24 all-Big Sky Conference team, as well as the Big Sky Rookie of the Year in 2021-22, Price has real pedigree as a scoring threat that can play make for his teammates as well as create havoc on the defensive end.

At his size of 6-foot-10, 230 pounds, Price has multiple ways of getting buckets, as well as facilitating offense. Of course, given his frame, he does score at the rim – 36.4% of his shots come around the basket, and in this area, he averages a blistering 1.41 points per shot according to Synergy Sports. He has a soft touch and puts himself in good positioning on the block often for easy buckets.

His overall efficiency from the field is impressive too, as he's able to shoot the three ball on top of his prowess in the paint. 46.0% of his field goal attempts are jump shots, and 90.8% of these attempts are off of the catch.

The three-point shooting really opens things up on offense, as he is a real threat in the pick-and-pop due to his size and ability to screen. He hit 40 of 107 attempts from deep this past season, good for 37.4% from beyond the arc. Nearly 90% of his jump shot attempts are from the three-point line, and on 3.3 attempts per game, he shows efficiency on decent volume.

Another aspect of his game is his ability to facilitate an offense from the wing spot. He had a 16.0% assist rate last season, or 2.2 per game, including two five-assist and multiple four-assist games as a junior at Eastern Washington. This play making ability only further increases his effectiveness as an offensive player due to his versatility.

On the defensive end, he averaged 1.3 stocks last season, and had a block rate of 3.7%. Though he does need to improve his rebounding, as he had a rebound rate of just 9.5%, the rest of his game will translate to the West Coast Conference, and Price will be a crucial part of this roster in 2024-25.
