In Washington State's first game of the season, the offense never really clicked in a 1-0 loss to the Purdue Boilermakers. That was not an issue on Thursday as the Cougars cruised to a 3-0 win over Montana in Pullman. The Cougars took 20 shots in the victory.

Reagan Kotschau, Kendall Campbell, and senior Raniyah Burton all scored goals in the victory. Reese Tappan, Grayson Lynch, and Ashly Bergy all netted assists. Goalkeeper Nadia Cooper finished with five saves.

2,626 fans took in the match in the fourth-largest crowd in Washington State soccer history. It also marked the first win of the academic year for any Washington State team as students returned to campus earlier this month.

Head Coach Todd Shulenberger is now one win away from 100 career victories as a head coach.

Washington State's home stand continues on August 25 when the Cougars host the Idaho Vandals.
