Husky Basketball Reveals Non-Conference Schedule

The UW releases 11 playing dates for Mike Hopkins' team.

One year from a Big Ten upgrade, the University of Washington basketball team unveiled its non-conference schedule for the coming winter and it's more filler than crowd-pleaser.

While the Huskies will host Gonzaga at home and travel to Las Vegas for the Continental Tire Main Event that involves San Diego State, Saint Mary's and Xavier, the rest of the UW slate will offer what amounts to a smattering of warm-up games before a last run through the Pac-12.

Mike Hopkin's rebuilt team will open the season on Monday, Nov. 6 against Bellarmine and three nights later against Northern Kentucky — both small-scale Kentucky universities — while fielding a UW lineup that will have two former University of Kentucky players in it at times.

On Sunday, Dec. 17, the Huskies will play in the refurbished Climate Pledge Arena for the first time, taking on cross-town Seattle University.
