The globetrotting University of Washington basketball team changed countries, moving from France to Spain, but the outcome remained the same in its second outing, with the Huskies beating the Spanish All-Stars 73-56 in Barcelona.

Playing a quarters format, the game was brought to an early end in the fourth period because of court conditions, which were unspecified.

On a day in which the UW found itself without an athletic director, senior Keion Brooks and freshman Christian King, both forwards, topped the Huskies in scoring with 16 points a piece.

The 6-foot-7 King, the son of former Seattle Sonics center Rich King, showed off his shooting range by hitting 4 of 6 shots from 3-point range. Brooks, also 6-foot-7 and the Huskies' leading scorer last season, connected on 8 of 15 attempts.

"We were passing the ball well and shooting the ball well tonight," UW coach Mike Hopkins said. "And, most importantly, we were learning [about] each other and that's what these games are all about."

Kentucky transfer Sahvir Wheeler set the playmaking tone with a 9-point, 6-assist and 4-steal outing, and the Huskies finished with 20 assists as a team.

Lamar transfer Nate Calmese and Rutgers transfer Paul Mulcahy chipped in 5 assists each.

The Huskies began their European adventure last Friday with a 92-80 victory over Cergy-Pontoise in a game held north of Paris. They have one more outing before returning stateside.
