Report Says Former Husky PJ Fuller Will Join Detroit Mercy
PJ Fuller, the former University of Washington guard and one of seven Huskies to enter the transfer portal once this past season ended, apparently will resurface with the University of Detroit Mercy, according to multiple reports.
However, neither the 6-foot-4 Fuller nor the school has announced his roster addition as of yet.
The Titans, coming off a 14-19 season, currently are coached by the well-traveled Mike Davis, who once replaced Bobby Knight as the Indiana leader before making several other basketball stops.
This winter, Fuller left the Huskies after two seasons in Montlake once he went from starter to coming off the bench for Mike Hopkins' 16-16 team. He averaged 6.2 points per game while appearing in 26 games, starting 17.
A Seattle native, Fuller was one of seven Hopkins players who entered the transfer portal once the season ended and it appears all but one have found new schools.
Newly relocated are guard Keyon Menifield (Arkansas), forward Cole Bajema (Utah), forward Jackson Grant (Utah State), forward Tyler Linhardt (Idaho), forward Langston Wilson (Milwaukee-Wisconsin) and Fuller.
Only guard Noah Williams hasn't revealed a new basketball destination yet.
Fuller, a Garfield High School product before joining a Nevada prep school, joined the Huskies after two seasons at TCU and played well enough as a reserve guard, averaging 7.4 in 32 games.
However, once he became a full-time starter, Fuller had most of his numbers decline across the board and he was replaced in the lineup by Menifield.
