The Bruins defensive is considered one of the top players in the portal at his position.

While multiple University of Washington football players have transferred to UCLA in recent years, it's probably time for the Huskies to get something in return.

Safety Kamari Ramsey would go a long way to evening things out.

The Bruins defense back told 247sports' Greg Biggins he is planning weekend official visits to Washington and Ohio State.

Starting 11 games as a redshirt freshman this past season for 7-5 UCLA, Ramsey finished sixth on the team with 40 tackles, plus added 4 pass break-ups and an interception against California.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound redshirted in 2022, playing in just four games to preserve his eligibility, and didn't take part in UCLA's 40-32 victory over Kalen DeBoer's Huskies at the Rose Bowl.

The Huskies need to add a safety or two from the portal with sixth-year senior starter Dominique Hampton winding up his career following the College Football Playoff run and fifth-year senior Asa Turner possibly moving on, too.

Ramsey is considered one of the top safeties in the transfer portal.

In recent seasons, the Bruins have welcomed three former UW players and a temporary Husky freshman to their roster, and even added a former UW assistant coach.

Edge rusher Laiatu Latu, forced to medically retire from Jimmy Lake's UW team after suffering a 2020 neck injury in practice, recently was named as a first-team AP All-America selection after accumulating 13 sacks for the Bruins, 23.5 over two seasons in Westwood.

After redshirting at the UW in 2020, quarterback Ethan Garbers started six games this past season, his third with UCLA.

Colson Yankoff redshirted as a Husky quarterback in 2018 and has played five seasons for the Bruins as a QB, tight end, wide receiver and now a running back and special-teamer.

Linebacker Ale Kaho originally signed with the UW in 2018, only to ask for his release and join Alabama for three seasons. He's played three more for the Bruins, though injuries have limited him to just one game in the past two years.

Ikaika Malloe went from UW edge-rusher coach to UCLA's when Lake'staff was fired in 2021 and he was responsible for bringing Latu with him to the Bruins.
