The Pac-12 released its preseason all-conference teams, as voted by the media — including this FanNation/SI site — and the Huskies came away with three first-unit selections and another four on the second squad.

It there was anything telling about this listing is the rest of conference is catching on that there's as new UW cornerback in town.

Oklahoma State transfer Jabbar Muhammad turned up as a second-team choice, trailing a backset only to first-teamers in Utah's Cole Bishop and USC's Calen Bullock, and sharing the next tier with Washington State corner Chau Smith-Wade.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Muhammad from DeSoto, Texas, started 12 games last season and was an All-Big-12 honorable-mention recipient.

UW wide receiver Rome Odunze, offensive tackle Troy Fautanu and edge rusher Bralen Trice earned first-team All-Pac-12 accolades, while Muhammad was joined on the second team by fellow Huskies in quarterback Michael Penix Jr., wide receiver Jalen McMillan and edge rusher Zion Tupuola-Fetui.

The Huskies also had the following receiving honorable-mention honors from the Pac-12: offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten, linebackers Edefuan Ulofoshio and Alphonzo Tuputala, safety Asa Turner and long snapper Jaden Green.

If anyone was overlooked, defensive tackle Tuli Letuligasenoa previously has feted by the conference while safety Dominique Hampton and tight end Devin Culp are sixth-year seniors who could move up for postseason recognition with decent performances.

Of the other schools, Utah led the way with six first-team selections, USC and Oregon State each had five, Colorado, Oregon and UCLA two each, and Stanford one.
