Husky Target Jason Robinson Jr. Is A Big-Time Playmaker
Even though Washington already has one receiver commit for the class of 2024 in three-star receiver Landon Bell, that hasn't stopped wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard from continuing to go after some of the best players on the west coast.
One of those players is Long Beach Poly's Jason Robinson Jr. Ranked as a four-star receiver by the 247 Sports Composite, he has accrued 23 offers, including Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame and USC.
Robinson has also begun setting his official visits, scheduling trips to Washington, Utah and Cal, after returning from a trip to Syracuse that began on June 9. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound playmaker is fun to watch on film and seems to be a perfect fit for the Husky offense.
An advanced route runner for a rising senior, Robinson gets in and out of breaks with ease, drawing separation from his defender early and often. He also displays great concentration at the catch point and looks like he has the speed and athleticism to excel both in the slot or on the outside of the formation at the college level.
Robinson also is impressive when in space and could find himself being utilized on quick passes and screens early on in his career. He sheds the first defender with ease quite frequently, turning short throws into chunk plays.
It appears Washington wants to take three receivers in the class of 2024, but don't expect Robinson to come to a decision for some time. His last official visit is scheduled with Utah, beginning on August 31, so his commitment might not come until some point during his senior season.
