JJ Wetherholt Named a Midseason All-American

What can you say? The kid just keeps hitting.

Throughout Randy Mazey's stint as the skipper at West Virginia, he's seen some of his best arms drafted in the top rounds of the MLB Draft. Well, JJ Wetherholt may be the first position player he has had drafted in the top two or three rounds, especially if he continues at this pace.

Heading into Wednesday night's game against Marshall, Wetherholt leads the country in hits (54), ranks fourth in batting average (.462), and fifth in stolen bases (23). The red-hot start has led to him being named a Midseason All-American by Perfect Game Baseball.
