After the 2023 MLB Draft concluded, one more Mountaineer saw his dream come to fruition.
WVU OF Landon Wallace signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Los Angeles Angels last night.
After transferring from Nevada, Wallace, WVU's starting left fielder, left college with a .312 batting average through 59 games, 11 home runs, 49 RBI, and 46 runs scored on 62 hits.
Wallace joins an Angels draft year that boasts the likes of FAU's Nolan Schanuel (1B-11) and TCU's Cole Fontenelle (3B-204). Wallace is the fourth outfielder signed by the Angels this season.
