The Big 12 Standings Heading into the Final Day of the Regular Season

West Virginia needs a win for the top seed of the Big 12 tournament after claiming a share of the Big 12 regular season championship

The West Virginia baseball program will wrap up its regular season schedule in the series finale at Texas Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. EST. 

The Mountaineers needed one win for the Big 12 Conference championship heading into the three-game series with the Longhorns and have now dropped the first two games. Despite the losses, West Virginia claimed a share of the Big 12 Conference regular season championship following Oklahoma's 5-0 win over Oklahoma State Friday night. 

West Virginia is currently one win away from taking sole possession of the Big 12 title. However, in the event WVU loses and Oklahoma State wins for a three-way tie atop the of the standings, the Mountaineers will be a two-seed in the Big 12 Conference Championship next week while Texas takes the top seed and Oklahoma State a three seed.

TCU and Kansas are fighting for fourth place in the season finale, Texas Tech holds the tiebreaker over Oklahoma for sixth as Texas Tech meets Kansas and Oklahoma is hosting on Oklahoma State in Bedlam and Kansas holds the final seed at eighth.
