Wetherholt Hits First Team USA Bomb

Wetherholt's first start with the USA Collegiate National Team starts off electric.

One day short of America's birthday, WVU Baseball sophomore second baseman JJ Wetherholt brought the patriotism.

Wetherholt, up in the second inning of Team USA's game against Chinese Taipei, swung at the first pitch and soared it out of the ballpark at the USA National Training Complex in Cary, NC.

One start. One at-bat. One ball seen. One home run.

Wetherholt's two-run home run put the USA up 4-0 in the top of the second inning.
