What the ESPN BPI Says About WVU vs. Texas Tech

West Virginia and Texas Tech each look to end a two-game losing skid.

Saturday evening, it'll be a clash of two Big 12 teams looking to snap a two-game slide as Texas Tech travels to Morgantown to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers.

According to the ESPN BPI, West Virginia has a 27.8% chance to win while Texas Tech has been given a 72.2% chance.

WVU has lost six of its last seven with the only win coming at home on February 20th against UCF. Although the two-game road trip resulted in a pair of losses for the Mountaineers, you can't question their effort. They put up an incredible fight in Ames against Iowa State before falling apart in the final nine minutes and two days later, they fell behind by as many as 25 against Kansas State but a strong surge in the second half (a 31-9 run) forced overtime.

Tech has lost three of its last four with their only win coming by one point against TCU. In their last two times out, they've lost by 14 and 12 to UCF and Texas - losses that take a small hit to the NCAA Tournament resume. Falling on Saturday to West Virginia could drop them from a potential No. 7 or 8 seed to firmly on the bubble.

West Virginia has an 18-9 edge in the all-time series and have won six of the last ten. The action will begin at 6 p.m. EST on ESPN2. Following the game, don't forget to tune into the Mountaineers Now Postgame Show which can be found here on our site or our YouTube page - Mountaineers Now.
