ESPN Bracketology Update - 2/21

A look at where the Mountaineers sit in the latest bracketology projection.

The Mountaineers picked up a much-needed win over Oklahoma State on Monday, blowing out the Cowboys, 85-67. With that win, West Virginia has moved from Joe Lunardi's "Last Four In" to the "Last Four Byes". Joining WVU in that group is Memphis, Boise State, and Oklahoma State.

Below is a look at the projected region Lunardi has West Virginia in his latest bracketology that was released Tuesday morning.

1. Purdue vs 16. Howard/Morehead State

8. Kentucky vs 9. Pitt

5. UConn vs 12. West Virginia

4. Gonzaga vs 13. Iona

6. Duke vs 11. Oklahoma State

3. Tennessee vs 14. Hofstra

7. Providence vs 10. Auburn

2. Baylor vs 15. Vermont

WVU will have a few days to get their legs back before heading out to Lawrence, Kansas to try and leave Phog Allen Fieldhouse with a win for the first time in school history. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. EST and will be televised on ESPN.
