ESPN Bracketology Update - 3/3

A look at where the Mountaineers sit in the latest bracketology projection.

West Virginia picked up a massive win on the road against the Iowa State Cyclones earlier in the week, officially sweeping the two-game season series.

Although it doesn't guarantee the Mountaineers a spot in the big dance, it does however, put them in position to remove any doubt this Saturday when they take on Kansas State. A win over the Wildcats would all but punch that tournament ticket.

In Joe Lunardi's latest bracketology projection on ESPN, West Virginia is a No. 11 seed in the SOUTH region.

1. Alabama vs 16. Howard/Fairleigh Dickinson

8. Providence vs 9. Rutgers

5. TCU vs 12. Bradley

4. Indiana vs 13. Hofstra

6. Northwestern vs 11. West Virginia

3. Marquette vs 14. Furman

7. Kentucky vs 10. USC

2. Baylor vs 15. Kennesaw State
