ESPN's Joe Lunardi Dunks on Pitt for 'Worthy Resume' Tweet

This should get a chuckle out of some WVU fans.

West Virginia fans haven't had much to smile about since the start of the 2023-24 basketball season, but thanks to ESPN's Joe Lunardi, they can crack a little smile and maybe even let out a bit of a laugh.

Following Selection Sunday, the Pitt basketball account posted a graphic of their "worthy" NCAA Tournament resume after being left out of the field. The esteemed bracketologist put them in their place pretty quickly with just one sentence, referencing their non-conference strength of schedule.

West Virginia played a big part in that ranking because in a normal year, that would have been a Quad 1 road game for Pitt. This year? It was a Quad 3 win.

It was certainly a disappointing season for the Mountaineers but hey, if you're going to have one of the worst seasons in program history, you might as well bring your heated rival down with you.

Pitt declined an invitation to the NIT, thus ending their season.
