Former West Virginia center Jimmy Bell Jr. announced on his Instagram that he has committed to Mississippi State.

Bell averaged 4.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in his lone season at WVU last season.

The Saginaw, Michigan, native tried out for the WVU football team this spring, and head football coach Neal Brown stated he would evaluate Bell at the conclusion of the spring practice period and have a conversation with men's basketball head coach Bob Huggins.

Before committing to West Virginia, Bell spent his first two seasons at St. Louis before transferring to Moberly Area Community College. He is averaging 3.8 points and 3.7 rebounds for his career.

He has one year of eligibility remaining.
