BREAKING: Jose Perez to Return to WVU for Final Year

Some big news for the Mountaineers.

Jose Perez is officially returning to West Virginia for his final season of eligibility, per Adam Zagoria of the New York Times.

 WVU filed a waiver on Perez's behalf to become immediately eligible. Weeks went by with no answer. Finally, on December 16th, the NCAA gave its answer by denying that request. West Virginia appealed the decision and once again, they waited several weeks. Perez was denied once again, officially forcing him to sit out the remainder of the season. 

Perez averaged 18.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, earning First Team All-MAAC honors a season ago with Manhattan.
