BREAKING: Kerr Kriisa Chooses Transfer Destination

A big transfer is off the board.

Arguably the biggest transfer portal target for West Virginia this offseason is off the board and he's headed to Morgantown. Moments ago, former Arizona guard Kerr Kriisa announced that he will be transferring to WVU.

Kriisa fills a big need for West Virginia as he'll assume the point guard duties, taking over for the recently graduated Kedrian Johnson. The Mountaineers should be able to create more high-percentage looks next season with Kriisa in the fold, a guy who led the PAC 12 in assists (5.2) in 2022-23 and finished second in 2021-22 (4.9).

Aside from facilitating the rock, Kriisa also has a pretty good touch from three, shooting 35% from behind the arc for his career. He'll bring much-needed experience having played in 76 games over the past two-plus seasons.

Kriisa chose West Virginia over Nebraska, Xavier, and several others. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
