Spread & Over/Under Predictions for WVU vs. Baylor

Can the Mountaineers cover the spread?

Each game day, we will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of West Virginia games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: Baylor -7.5

1-star play on West Virginia covering (+7.5): I might be crazy, but I'm going to take the points here with the Mountaineers. They play much better at home and Baylor has lost three of its last four on the road. I don't see WVU coming out of this with the win, but they'll remain within striking distance until the very end.

Over/Under: 146.5

2-star play on the under: Over their last six games, the Mountaineers are averaging just 65 points, regardless of home/away. The ball doesn't move and once the initial play gets shutdown, the offense itself shuts down. Don't be fooled by Baylor ranking 11th in the Big 12 in scoring defense. The three overtime game with TCU inflates that average. If you remove that game, they're only giving up 67.5 per game. Take the under.

Last year's picks:

ATS record: 9-15 (37%)

O/U record: 15-9 (62%)

Overall: 24-24 (50%)
