Spread & Over/Under Predictions for WVU vs. Toledo

Can the Mountaineers cover the spread?

Each game day, we will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of West Virginia games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: West Virginia -4.5

2-star play on Toledo covering (+4.5): I have the Mountaineers winning the game, but I can't trust this team enough to lay points with them, regardless of the opponent. Not having Jesse Edwards or even a true center for that matter is a big challenge WVU has to overcome. I'll put my faith in the Rockets keeping this one close.

Over/Under: 154.5

4-star play on the under: If there is a play in this game, it's going to be the under. West Virginia has scored over 70 points only twice this season. Toledo is averaging 78.7 points per game, but I don't see them having that much success. This one lives in the high 60s, low 70s and sits comfortably under the number.

Last year's picks:

ATS record: 6-5 (50%)

O/U record: 7-4 (70%)

Overall: 13-9 (60%)
