Spread & Over/Under Predictions for WVU at Oklahoma

Can the Mountaineers cover the spread?

Each game day, we will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of West Virginia games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: Oklahoma -12.5

1-star play on West Virginia covering (+12.5): Pat Suemnick is questionable with an illness and if he's unable to play, it's going to be an uphill battle for the Mountaineers. Even with that as a possibility, I see this as a game WVU competes hard in. 12.5 is a lot of points for a team coming off back-to-back losses. I'll take the points with West Virginia.

Over/Under: 144.5

1-star play on the under: For West Virginia to have a chance in this game, it's going to have to be a low-scoring defensive battle. I'm not sure how well they'll manage the paint, but if they can contest shots from the perimeter and not let the guards get downhill, they'll be able to string together some stops. All signs point to the over on paper, but I'm going the other way.

Last year's picks:

ATS record: 6-10 (38%)

O/U record: 10-6 (63%)

Overall: 16-16 (50%)
