BREAKING: Tre Mitchell to Return to WVU in 2023-24

Another big piece coming back for the Mountaineers.

West Virginia has landed some big pieces in the transfer portal this offseason with the additions of Omar Silverio and Kerr Kriisa but they've also received some good news from some of their own.

Last week, senior guard Joe Toussaint announced he would return for one more season using his free COVID year. Today, Tre Mitchell revealed on Twitter that he will be doing the same.

In his first year with West Virginia, Mitchell averaged 11.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per contest while shooting 47% from the field and 36% from three-point range.
