Two Former Mountaineers Transfer to Akron

Veteran guard Seth Wilson became the first West Virginia Mountaineer to enter the transfer portal this offseason and now, he has a new home.
According to Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68, Wilson is transferring to Akron. There, he will reunite with former Mountaineer teammate, James Okonkwo.

Wilson appeared in 82 career games with the Mountaineers and averaged 3.4 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
As for Okonkwo, he played in just 15 games this season for North Carolina and averaged one point and one rebound per game. The most action he saw in a game was eight minutes, which happened three times earlier in the year against Charleston Southern, Syracuse, and Boston College. In the blowout win over CSU, Okonkwo had his best outing with seven points and four rebounds.
