Virginia Forward Transfer Hears from West Virginia

Add another name to the portal tracker.

Over the past couple of weeks, the West Virginia coaching staff has been active in the transfer portal searching for some help underneath the basket. Adding to the list of transfers they contacted is former Virginia big man, Kadin Shedrick, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

This past season Shedrick appeared in 30 games (15 starts) and averaged 6.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 65% from the floor and 79% from the free throw line. He saw a minor dip in production due to averaging a little over three minutes less than the previous year when he posted 6.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game.

Other schools that Shedrick has heard from include Cincinnati, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgetown, Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, Penn State, Rutgers, Texas, Vanderbilt, and Xavier.

He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
