What Josh Eilert Said Following the Loss to Texas

The Texas Longhorns (16-9, 5-6) dominated the West Virginia Mountaineers (8-15, 3-7) Saturday afternoon 94-58.
Interim head coach Josh Eilert sat courtside with play-by-by caller Tony Caridi following the game and gave his assessment of the loss.
Opening statement
There's a lot of things we can point out defensively that we didn't do correct. Their game plan right off the bat was put Jesse in a ball screen and picking and popping to (Texas forward Dylan) Disu and credit to him. I think he was four for four from three to start the game and he knocked down shots and once you see a couple go down, we've seen it with us, you know, like the Kansas game, the floodgates can open for you and everybody else shoots with that confidence, but it really felt like as deja vu here, looking at this box score, thinking about last year in this arena. So, credit to them. They played a great game and I told those guys in the locker. I didnt have you ready play one way or another I didn't have you already to play and that's on me.
West Virginia’s 15 turnovers
That's 29 points off turnovers, six assists to 15 turnovers and look at their 28 assists to five turnovers. That's the game right there and they were the aggressor. 100% the aggressor. They took it to us. It was a physical game. They understood that that was part of the game plan and when they [were] really physical with us, we struggle, and we've struggled against Houston we’ve struggled with UMass and the physicality, and I don't know how we correct that but 100% though that was their game plan and they certainly executed to a tee.
Jesse Edwards’ 17 points 9 rebounds
He was good and we tried to establish the presence inside but he's seven for 9, 17 points nine rebounds. But we consequently we went into a fault there. You look at the three points, three for 13 and their 15 for 32 and it's a numbers game at that point, and it's hard to recover from.
