What the ESPN BPI Says About WVU at Iowa State
West Virginia hits the road for a quick, two-game road trip beginning with the Iowa State Cyclones and the most challenging building to play in the Big 12 - Hilton Coliseum.
According to the ESPN BPI, West Virginia has a 2.2% chance to win while Iowa State has a 97.8% chance.
Considering how the season has gone for both of these teams, it's no shock to see Iowa State as heavily favored as they are. They are playing like one of the best teams not only in the Big 12, but the country. Defensively, they allow just 62.9 points per game which isn't good news for a Mountaineer team that has had a really difficult time putting the ball in the hoop on the road, barely averaging 60 points away from Morgantown.
But the Cyclones aren't just a one-way team, they can fill up the cup too. Iowa State has four players who average double digits in scoring - Keshon Gilbert, Tamin Lipsey, Milan Momcilovic, and Curtis Jones. Tre King is not far off posting 9.5 per game.
West Virginia has yet to win a single game this season that wasn't played at the WVU Coliseum and it's hard to see a scenario in which they get off the schneid this afternoon in Ames.
