What the ESPN BPI Says About WVU at Kansas State

Another road loss incoming for the Mountaineers?

West Virginia looks to avenge its early Big 12 loss to the Kansas State Wildcats, Monday night on the road.

According to the ESPN BPI, West Virginia has an 11.2% chance of winning while Kansas State has an 88.8% chance.

After getting out to a 14-4 (4-1) start, the Wildcats have hit a brick wall, losing seven of their last nine games. Their last time out (Saturday), they got back in the win column, snapping a three-game slide with an 84-74 victory over No. 25 BYU. With a pair of top 10 opponents to close out the season, K-State must take advantage of these next two games against the Mountaineers and Cincinnati Bearcats.

As for West Virginia, they came oh so close to finally picking up that elusive first road win of the season on Saturday but had a complete meltdown in the final nine minutes of the game against Iowa State. They took the lead 51-50 at the nine-minute mark but they gave up 14 points unanswered, going through a scoring drought that lasted six minutes.

The Mountaineers turned it over 23 times against the Cyclones but the good news is, Kansas State turns the ball over more than any team in the Big 12 (15.1 per game).
