What the ESPN BPI Says About WVU's Chances Against Iowa State

Will the Mountaineers collect another top-15 win?

West Virginia has won seven straight over Iowa State when playing inside the WVU Coliseum and extending that streak would give the Mountaineers another huge win to add to the resume.

WVU has won three of its last four games and four of the last six, including wins over No. 14 TCU and No. 15 Auburn. Erik Stevenson has played a major role in this recent turnaround, posting a pair of 30+ point outings, setting a career high of 34 against Oklahoma.

Meanwhile, Iowa has lost three of its last five, including dropping four straight road games. However, three of those loses come by a combined seven points; L by 2 at Kansas, L by 2 at Oklahoma State, L by three at Texas Tech in overtime.

According to the ESPN BPI, West Virginia has a 65.5% chance to win while Iowa State has a 34.5% chance.
