Big 12 to Launch New Logo in 2024
Hip, young, and cool. That's what the vision is for the new Big 12 Conference under the leadership of commissioner Brett Yormark.
To help usher in a new era of the conference, Yormark announced at Big 12 media days that a new logo will be revealed in 2024. As far as the name of the league is concerned, he didn't state specifically whether or not it would be changed, however, it appears they will move forward as the Big 12 after seeing their marketing video, stating, "Greater Than 12."
"The Big 12 is committed to thriving at the intersection of sports and culture and getting on the consciousness of current and future student-athletes," said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark. "This dynamic new brand spot reflects on our rich history and points towards our future - and shows we are greater than 12."
Yormark is an innovator in college athletics and is putting things together that have never been done before such as a halftime performance at the Big 12 Conference basketball championship, a conference football game scheduled in Mexico, and now, he'll be adding a halftime show to the football conference championship as well. The artist performing the show will be announced on August 12th when tickets for the game go on sale.
