Taking a look around the Big 12 Conference.

Week 2 Picks: 10-4

Season Record: 20-8

Kansas State at Missouri

K-State pounded Missouri a year ago. This will be a much closer contest, but I still have the Wildcats coming out on top, winning by two scores.

Prediction: Kansas State 31, Missouri 17.

Long Island at Baylor

Rough start for the Bears, who have dropped games to Texas State and Utah. They get back on track with an easy win in Week 3.

Prediction: Baylor 59, Long Island 10.

Iowa State at Ohio

Ohio was a preseason favorite to win the MAC, but they haven't looked all that sharp through their first three games. Before the season began, I would've gone with the Bobcats. Now, I see the Cyclones winning a low-scoring dogfight.

Prediction: Iowa State 23, Ohio 16.

Oklahoma at Tulsa

Tulsa put up just 10 points last week at Washington. They fail to reach that mark this week. Sooners coast to victory.

Prediction: Oklahoma 54, Tulsa 7.

Villanova at UCF

No John Rhys Plumlee, no problem? Not quite. Villanova is a good FCS team and will give the Knights all they can handle. UCF wins comfortably but it takes a while to gain separation.

Prediction: UCF 38, Villanova 14.

Miami (OH) at Cincinnati

The Bearcats pulled out a big road win last Saturday over Pitt. This is a somewhat dangerous game for them as they could be looking ahead to Oklahoma. Talent and depth prevail as UC moves to 3-0.

Prediction: Cincinnati 45, Miami (OH) 17.

South Alabama at Oklahoma State

The Pokes' offense is U-G-L-Y. Fortunately for them, their defense has played well. Three straight wins for OSU in which they fail to reach 30 on the scoreboard.

Prediction: Oklahoma State 28, South Alabama 14.

Tarleton State at Texas Tech

Tarleton can score, but they also give up a bunch of points. And I mean a bunch. Texas Tech finally gets in the win column after a disappointing 0-2 start.

Prediction: Texas Tech 63, Tarleton State 20.

Pitt at West Virginia

West Virginia should be able to run all over Pitt in this one. With what should be an electric atmosphere, I've got the Mountaineers pulling out a close one.

Prediction: West Virginia (score prediction drops tomorrow).

BYU at Arkansas

This is the first real test for both of these squads. Arkansas QB K.J. Jefferson will be the difference maker in this game. Give me the Razorbacks.

Prediction: Arkansas 27, BYU 23.

Wyoming at Texas

Wyoming is already 1-0 against Big 12 teams this season, knocking off Texas Tech in the opener. Can they notch another win under their belt? Texas returns home all fat and sassy after pulling off the stunner in Tuscaloosa. Texas looks flat in this game, but they find a way.

Prediction: Texas 34, Wyoming 20.

TCU at Houston

Completely different feelings for UH after their first two games. They had to feel really good about being a quality UTSA team in the opener but followed that up with a loss to inner-city rival, Rice. TCU's offense is too much for the Cougs to handle.

Prediction: TCU 41, Houston 30.

Kansas at Nevada

Nevada gave up 66 to USC and 33 to Idaho. That should be all you need to know.

Prediction: Kansas 65, Nevada 9.
