Big 12 Score Predictions - Week 5

Taking a look around the Big 12 Conference.

Week 4 Picks: 6-2

Season Record: 34-15

Cincinnati at BYU

Tough loss for BYU last week in Lawrence but they bounce back with a close, low-scoring, hard-fought win over the Bearcats this week.

Prediction: BYU 20, Cincinnati 17.

Kansas at Texas

Kansas QB Jalon Daniels is 8-2 in his last 10 starts. Texas has been known to drop a game to the Jayhawks every now and then too. This will be a great game, but Texas survives.

Prediction: Texas 35, Kansas 31.

Houston at Texas Tech

Behren Morton has had a full week of reps with the ones and that will pay off in big dividends against what is a below-average Houston defense. Tech starts slow but comes out on top.

Prediction: Texas Tech 28, Houston 20.

Baylor at UCF

Poor Baylor. They have fallen off the map since winning the Big 12 title just a couple of years ago. This is UCF's first-ever home game as a member of the Big 12. If you're the Bears, you just hope to keep it close.

Prediction: UCF 38, Baylor 17.

Iowa State at Oklahoma

Oklahoma's offense didn't put up many points last week but they will this week. Give me the Sooners by a lot.

Prediction: Oklahoma 44, Iowa State 20.

West Virginia at TCU

I picked against West Virginia last week and got it wrong. Although this is a winnable game for the Mountaineers, this a tough defense to run on in TCU. Sure they give up plays through the air, but WVU's receivers haven't shown much progress through four games. TCU wins, but it's close

Prediction: Score prediction will be released on Thursday.
