CJ Donaldson & Jacolby Spells Commit to Country Roads Trust

A couple more big commitments for 2024.

West Virginia will see the return of its leading rusher, CJ Donaldson, and cornerback Jacolby Spells as the two announced a partnership with Country Roads Trust for the 2024 season, indicating they plan to remain at WVU.

Donaldson fought through some injuries at the end of the season, playing a limited role in the wins over Cincinnati and Baylor and sat out in the bowl game for precautionary reasons. He finished the year with 798 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 171 carries.

Due to injuries, Jacolby Spells was forced into action as a true freshman in 2022 and had the typical highs and lows of a first-year corner in the Big 12. This past season, he recorded eight tackles in six games serving as a depth option. He will compete for a starting spot in 2024.

The following players are committed to working with the Trust in 2024:

QB Garrett Greene, QB Nicco Marchiol, RB Jahiem White, RB CJ Donaldson, WR Rodney Gallagher III, WR Preston Fox, WR Traylon Ray, TE Kole Taylor, OL Ja'Quay Hubbard, OL Nick Krahe, OL Nick Malone, OL Wyatt Milum, OL Tomas Rimac, OL Brandon Yates, OL Johnny Williams IV, DL Edward Vesterinen, DL Sean Martin, LB Ben Cutter, LB Trey Lathan, LB Josiah Trotter, CB Jacolby Spells, S Aubrey Burks, S Anthony Wilson.
