Earlier this month, former West Virginia punter/kicker Pat McAfee announced that The Pat McAfee Show will indeed be moving to ESPN. The move is expected to take place this fall where the show will broadcast live on ESPN and stream live on ESPN+ and ESPN's YouTube Channel.

In December of 2021, McAfee reached a four-year, $120 million deal with FanDuel. This new deal with ESPN is worth $85 million over five years, according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.

Although McAfee is leaving more money on the table, he won't be doing as much of the legwork behind the show and will instead leave that up to the folks at ESPN. This will give McAfee more time to spend with his wife, Samantha, and their newborn daughter, MacKenzie.

Plus, $85 million is still a boatload of money. During his eight seasons in the NFL, McAfee totaled just a little over $15 million, according to Spotrac. McAfee and his buddies have built their show up into one of the most watched sports shows on the internet and did it all from scratch.
