Dante Stills Appears on PFF's 'Biggest Draft Risers' List
West Virginia defensive lineman Dante Stills is already making a good impression in front of NFL scouts early in the draft process thanks to a solid week at the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Following the strong week of practice and the game, Stills was tabbed as one of Pro Football Focus' biggest draft risers of those who played in the college football All-Star games.
"Stills weighed in at 6-foot-3 and 289 pounds. What you’re looking for in a sub-300-pound interior defensive lineman is an ability to win with speed and quickness at the line of scrimmage. Stills definitely showed that off through practices and the game. He finished the week with an 82.9 pass-rush grade and recorded a 22.2% pass-rush win rate during the game. Stills’ hand usage is so quick and overwhelming at times for interior blockers. He’s a one-gap player, but one who helped himself this past week."
Stills broke two program records in his final season in the Old Gold & Blue, becoming the new leader in games played (59) and tackles for loss (52.5). He was recognized as a member of the All-Big 12 First Team on three separate publications in each of the last two seasons.
Stills will partake in this year's NFL Combine which will be held in Indianapolis from February 28th-March 6th. Defensive linemen are scheduled to have their on-field workouts on Thursday, March 5th. The rest of the week Stills will meet with executives, head coaches, scouts, and assistants from around the league.
