Former WVU Lineman Dale Wolfley Dies at 56

A Mountaineer gone too soon.

The WVU community is grieving following the passing of former West Virginia offensive lineman, Dale Wolfley. According to MetroNews, Wolfley passed in his sleep Saturday night. He was 56.

Wolfley played for the Mountaineers from 1987-90 and was a member of that 1988 team that went to the national championship to face Notre Dame.

After coaching for a few years, Wolfley returned to Morgantown to join Bill Stewart's staff in 2008 as the director of player personnel. He would then go on to wear many other hats at WVU such as being coordinator of the MAC to being a part of the WVU football broadcast team.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wolfley family.
