Former WVU OL Josh Sills Acquitted of Rape and Kidnapping Charges
Friday afternoon, an Ohio jury found former West Virginia offensive lineman Josh Sills not guilty on counts of rape and kidnapping a woman in 2019.
Shortly after the verdict, Sills gave a personal message to the jury who served on the case.
"I'd like to say thank you for everything that you've done, for paying attention, doing due diligence, and listening to the testimony. I'd like to thank my family, who has supported me from day one. I have done nothing wrong and I'm glad that was proven today."
Sills was placed on the NFL's Exempt List shortly after the charges came forth. Sills played in one game with the Eagles last season which came against the Arizona Cardinals.
Sills played at West Virginia from 2016-19 before transferring to Oklahoma State, where he played the final two years of his career.
