Garrett Greene Injury Update

West Virginia starting quarterback Garrett Greene's availability for the Mountaineers Big 12 home-opener versus Texas Tech remains unclear

Monday afternoon, West Virginia University football head coach Neal Brown revealed starting quarterback Garrett Greene did not practice Monday after suffering an ankle injury versus the Pitt Panthers Saturday night but whether he will play versus the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Big 12 Conference home-opener Saturday afternoon will be determined later in the week.

Greene left the game on the Mountaineers second possession after rushing off the right side. Back up redshirt freshman Nicco Marchiol came into the contest and went 6-9 for 60 yards.

West Virginia hosts the Red Raiders Saturday afternoon with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. EST and streaming on ESPN+.
