BREAKING: Georgia Southern DB Anthony Wilson to Transfer to WVU

The Mountaineers add to the secondary.

West Virginia picks up another experienced piece in the secondary, securing a commitment from Georgia Southern defensive back Anthony Wilson.

"I’m thankful to God and to the WVU staff for the opportunity. I look forward to getting down there and building my relationship with the staff."

Wilson chose the Mountaineers over Central Florida, Lousiville, Tennessee, Purdue, Minnesota, Pitt, Cincinnati, Duke, SMU, Tulane, Baylor, Coastal Carolina, and a few others.

During his three-year career, Wilson has tallied 241 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 20 pass breakups, three sacks, and two interceptions. WVU is bringing him in as a free safety but will likely end up rotating at nickel and strong safety.

Wilson will have two years of eligibility remaining.
