Houston Depth Chart vs. West Virginia

The Houston Cougars depth chart and team leaders for the Thursday night matchup with the West Virginia Mountaineers

The West Virginia Mountaineers (4-1, 2-0) are back in action Thursday night to take on the Houston Cougars (2-3, 0-2). Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. EST and broadcasting on FS1. 

The Cougars depth chart features three former Mountaineers; tight end Mike O'Laughlin, running back Tony Mathis Jr., and receiver Sam Brown. Former WVU defensive back Noah Guzman is also on the roster. 

Brown leads the Big 12 Conference in receptions (34) and receiving yards (518) and has one touchdown on the season. 

Mathis has 23 carries for 111 yards, ranking third on the team in both categories. Meanwhile, Parker Jenkins leads the backfield with 218 yards (5.3 ypc) and he is tied with quarterback Donovan Smith with a team-best three rushing touchdowns. 

Smith is third in the league in passing yards per game at 269.6 with nine touchdowns. 

Linebacker Malik Robinson leads the team with 37 tackles, defensive lineman is third in the league with 4.5 sacks and defensive back Malik Flemings has a team-high four interceptions.
