During the second quarter of the Mountaineers' upset win over Kansas State on Saturday, West Virginia's senior safety Josh Norwood's timely and athletic interception of a Skylar Thompson pass may have been the best of his career.

It was also the final play Norwood would make for the Mountaineers.

According to West Virginia sideline reporter Jed Drenning, Norwood broke his collar bone on the play, effectively ending the senior's collegiate career.

"Tremendous play," head coach Neal Brown stated after the win. "I'll probably talk more about (Norwood) on Tuesday. Early indications are not good for him."

Norwood, who came to West Virginia after transferring from Ohio State, tallied 126 tackles, 16 pass deflections and one interception during his career in Morgantown.
